Directions to Shady Grove

FROM MD/DC/Northern VA: Beltway to I-66 West. Get off at Gainesville onto Rt. 29 South. Bypass Warrenton on Rt. 29; keep heading south through intersect. of 17 & 29 (Opal). About 3 miles south of Opal you will come to the light at Rts. 29 & 28. Turn left onto 28 and make an IMMEDIATE right (almost U turn) onto Lucky Hill Rd. (Rt. 655). Go about 1 mi. you will pass a factory on the right and come to stop sign. Turn left at stop sign (RR tracks will be on your right) and then quick right across tracks back onto Lucky Hill. Go about a 1/4 mile, you will pass the sporting clay range, and in about 0.9 mile come to a bend in the road where you can see some ponds on your right. The entrance to Shady Grove is just past the ponds on your right, and is just before a power plant.

FROM POINTS SOUTH/WEST: Culpeper/C'ville area. Proceed N. on Rt. 29 to Remington. Turn right at light onto Rt. 28 (2nd Remington exit) then quick right onto Lucky Hill Rd. (Rt. 655) as above.

FROM POINTS SOUTH/EAST: 95 N. to Fredericksburg. Exit I-95 at Falmouth onto 17 N. Stay on 17 N. until Bealeton; at Food Lion shopping center is intersection of Rts. 17 & 28. Turn left (South) on 28 go about 2 miles almost until Rt. 28 ends at Rt. 29 (stoplight). Turn left onto Lucky Hill Road (Rt. 655) just before the stoplight, and follow directions above.
